Happy Choti Diwali to you all! Hope this Diwali brings to you the most unfathomable happiness and joys for the coming year.
Can’t believe it’s Diwali 2017 already and we are heading towards a New Year so soon. Every year around this time, there is so much of festive buzz.. we completely lose ourselves in meeting the chores, prettying our houses, choosing our clothes…. the lights , the sparkle …the sweets, the people.. the rituals and the bustle ..
We love to be carried away in a frenzy of joy and we often forget to introspect.. about the real issues around us.. We forget the kind of damage we create to the environment with the explosives and the noises that make the mood. So before other things… this Diwali let each of us make an individual effort to not overindulge into such passing recreations that render the environment permanently unconducive to good health.
Writing a post after ages and feeling baffled. This Diwali outfit for the day look is in collaboration with upcoming Kolkata based designer duo Srijani – Olipriya. They are fresh into the fashion block with exemplary ideas. Together they work like magic and create trendy outfits entrenched with Indian artistic yet contemporary elegant styles.
SrijaniOlipriya is an Indian inspired state-of-the-art , multicolored natural blend fabrics having a global appeal and designs that keep in mind the taste of every woman who cherishes and breathes the ardor of indo western mix and prints.
For this diwali I decided to go for a pastel palette of colors.. For the Day look I chose this beautiful pastel yellow co-ordinate set of a palazzo and crop top from Srijani-Olipriya’s collection. I fell in love with the floral embroidery which is such a rage in the contemporary fashion scene and being the flowerchild that I am, I instantly knew that this would make my perfect Diwali dress.
Up close if you look.. the details are so fine and completely made to perfection… the floral embroidery is a beautiful mix of fuchsia satin threads..and pink and golden glass beads. The cuts at the sleeve and the flow of the material give it the freshness and fluidity for a daytime look.
I chose to add a third color to the entire look .. which also one of my favourite colors – turquoise green and so for the accessories I used this beautiful sequin flowered clutch I had got from Simaaya boutique in Kolkata. I color coordinated my heels and earrings with the clutch. I kept the jewellery minimal.. and added a pink flower to my hair. For the hair had made some side swept tongs.. but unfortunately humidity killed them tongs..
But was not gonna let anything kill the joy of Diwali…So just embraced the glorious mess of my hairs and gave a wide smile.
Hope you love look and the details.. Do head over to http://srijaniolipriya.com/ and get your hands on their beautiful collection this Diwali. Don’t forget to read more about them after enjoying the pics. Also coming soon.. the evening look I would wear for Diwali, which is also in collab with Srijani-Olipriya
Once again, A prosperous and joyous Diwali to you and your family.
Enormous Love and warm hugs,
Sparkling smiles and sweetest kisses!
